Set Up Google Workspace email - Outlook 2003

Applies to:
Users wishing to configure Outlook 2003 to receive email from their G Suite account.
To configure Outlook 2003:
Open
Outlook, then click on
Tools
and select
E-mail
Accounts
from the drop down menu.
Place a dot next to
Add a new e-mail account
, then click
Next
.
Place a dot next to
IMAP
for your server type, then click
Next
.
Enter the following information:
Your Name:
Your real name
.
E-Mail Address:
Your email address
Incoming mail server:
imap.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
smtp.gmail.com
Username:
Your complete email address
Password:
Your email password
Click
More Settings...
when complete
Click the
Outgoing Server
tab, place a check mark next to
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
and place a dot next to
Use same settings as my incoming mail server
.
Click the
Advanced
tab and enter the following information:
Incoming Server (IMAP):
993
This server requires an SSL-secured connection:
Checked
Outgoing server (SMTP):
465
This server requires an SSL-secured connection:
Checked
Click
OK
.
Click
Next
.
Click
Finish
to complete the setup.
Outlook is now configured for your email account.
