Restoring and Checking Files with MozyPro

Restoring files with MozyPro is one of the most important aspects of the program.

A side benefit to looking at the Restore Files tab is that you can get a concise view of what is currently backed up to MozyPro servers.
  1. In order to get to the Restore Files tab, double click on the MozyPro icon in the taskbar:
  2. This will bring up the MozyPro status window:

  3. Click on Restore Files... to bring up the Restore tab:

  4. The default window will show you the Latest Version restore option. From here you can select any file or folders that you wish to restore to your computer.
  5. At the bottom of the window you will see Destination Folder, if you leave this blank MozyPro will restore the file to the SAME file path that it was uploaded from.
  6. If you select a Destination Folder, it will instead restore the file to whatever you input or browse to.
  7. You also have the option to overwrite existing files or rename copy if original file exists. If you choose to rename the copy, then it will show up as “Name (2)” when downloaded.
  8. From here you also see that you can search for specific files by name, which would be the search bar, or by date:

  9. When selecting the date, you will see every day that there is a backed up version of your data. Keep in mind that some of these versions may be exactly the same as others.
  10. You can also choose the time of the day if multiple backups were done in one day:

  11. Once you have selected the files and folders to restore then you will come back to the MozyPro status screen which will show you the status of the restore:
