Tri-Fi - Activation

Follow these steps to activate a Sprint Tri-Fi mobile hotspot.

  1. Make sure the hotspot is powered on.
  2. Connect to the hotspot over Wi-Fi using your laptop, tablet, iPad, etc.
  3. Open a browser and type http://sprinthotspot in the address bar (doesn't work with TOAST.net Accelerator). Alternatively, go to http://192.168.0.1
  4. Type the word password in the password box and click OK (see red arrow).

     
  5. At top of screen click on the Advanced Settings button.

     
  6. On the About tab, click the Clear Programming button at the bottom (you may need to scroll down).

     
  7. Click OK to reset your radio settings to factory defaults.

     
  8. Your hotspot will restart to complete the activation. Wait a few minutes and if it doesn't restart, power it off manually.

     
  9. Open your browser to confirm that you can connect to the hotspot and the Internet.
