If your computer is constantly prompting you to connect to TOAST.net, there is usually a program running in the background trying to obtain an update. Software that can cause this include Antivirus programs, news or weather updaters, chat programs, file downloaders, mail programs, and even virus or spyware infections. Please make sure you are running Antivirus software on your computer and you have the latest Windows Updates installed. Please read 5 Steps for Safe Computing for more information.
Step 1: Make sure the TOAST.net Dialer is not set to "Connect Automatically"
- Double click the TOAST.net icon on your Desktop.
- Click on the Options button.
- Uncheck the box labeled Connect Automatically.
- Uncheck the box labeled Set as the default Internet connection.
- Click OK.
Step 2: Set PC to "Never Dial a Connection"
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools menu, then select Internet Options.
