2-step verification adds an extra layer of security to G Suite accounts by requiring a verification code in addition to a username and password, when signing in.
Below are the steps to turn on 2-Step verification for G Suite:
1. Allow users in your domain to turn on 2-Step verification.
This is done via the Google Admin console
.
2. After logging into the account from a browser
go here
. Click the "Get Started" button at the bottom of the page.
3. If using an email client like Outlook,
an application-specific password will need to be generated
.
