Set Up Legacy Email - Outlook 2016

Applies to: Users wishing to receive email from a Legacy Hosting email account in Outlook 2016.

1. Open the Windows Control Panel and select the Mail icon. Select Show Profiles and add a new profile.
   
   


2. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next
   
   
    
3. Choose POP or IMAP for Account type and click Next
   
   


4. Enter the following information:
   • Your Name: Your real name.
   • E-Mail Address: Your email address
   • Account Type: IMAP
   • Incoming mail server: securemail2.megamailservers.com
   • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): securemail2.megamailservers.com
   • Username: Your complete email address
   • Password: Your email password
5. Click More Settings... when complete
   
   
    
6. Click the Outgoing Server tab, and then checkmark My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.  Make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
   
   
    
7. Click the Advanced tab and enter the following information:
   • Incoming Server (IMAP): 993
   • Use the following type of encrypted connection: Choose SSL.
   • Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
   • Use the following type of encrypted connect: Choose SSL.
   • Click OK.
     
     
      
8. Click Next to enter to complete the account setup.
9. Outlook will then test your settings.  You should get two green checkmarks if everything is correct.  Click Close when complete.
   
   
    
10. Click Finish to complete the account setup.
