Computer does not prompt for a connection

If your computer doesn't prompt an Internet Connection when opening an Internet application, make sure your settings are enabled to Dial your Default Connection.

To automatically change your settings, install the Dial-up Setup Program

To manually change your settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Control Panel which you can find in your Start Menu.
  2. Within Control Panel, double click on Internet Options.

  3. Within Internet Options, click on the Connections tab.

  4. Verify that the connection is set as the default connection. If not, Select the connection and click the Set Default button.

  5. Dot the selection that states Always dial my default connection.


  1. Click OK to save the settings.
