Symptoms
Email programs
using POP3 configurations may experience problems downloading a message
that contains a large attachment. This can result in a timeout error
message, multiple copies of messages appearing in the Inbox, or the
inability to download new email.
Cause
This problem often
occurs with dial-up users running a POP3 email program attempting to
download email with a large attachment (1MB or over). This problem can
also be caused by the message being corrupt or damaged.
Solution
Log into your Email from the TOAST.net Start Page and the problematic email can be viewed and/or deleted. Also, it would be recommended setting up the email program to use IMAP rather than POP3. IMAP is better able to handle emails with large attachments.
