If you are experiencing connection difficulties with an older device, try the following steps:
Make sure the cable modem is powered on.
Connect a laptop or PC to the cable modem with an Ethernet cable.

Connect iPad & iPhone to Wireless Network
Once you've connected to your modem, open a web browser and type
192.168.0.1
in the address bar and hit enter.
You should see this page after step 3.
You will be prompted for a username and password. Use the following:
username
: admin
password
: password
Once logged in, click the
Wireless Setup
tab
at the top of top of the screen.
Navigate to the left of the screen and click on
ADVANCED
.
Uncheck the following:
BG Protection -
Disabling BG Protection will improve the network's compatibility with your wireless N device.
Frame Burst -
Disabling Frame Burst can reduce the amount of latency or lag if you are running a N or AC only network.
WMM Power Save mode -
Disabling WMM Power Save mode can help your device connect to your network in case you are having connection issues.
Click
Apply
when complete.
